- updating the website and managing the collection, exchange, processing and archiving of data and communication both within the Institute and with the outside world. In particular, for the Herculaneum site:
- computer network design
- Updating of routines to correct programme malfunctions or vulnerabilities - Bi-weekly backup of data and applications of the two network servers
- daily monitoring of incoming and outgoing network traffic anomalies to detect hachers' activities
- troubleshooting malfunctions, both hardware and software, that may occur on the 70 clients and peripheral devices connected to the network - installation, configuration and remediation of computers
