Terms and conditions of use of social networks

The Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems of the CNR uses the following social platforms to communicate with citizens through the Web:

This document defines the guidelines for the use of social media, in compliance with the CNR regulations, administrative provisions and legal regulations.

The social channels of the Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems of the CNR are used to highlight research activities, to inform citizens about institutional and scientific network activities and to promote events aimed at citizens and institutions.

They produce different types of content such as textual content, photographs, infographics, videos and other multimedia materials that can be freely reproduced and must always be credited to the original channel of reference.

Unless otherwise indicated, all content is under licence CC BY-NC-SA 4.0

The comments and posts of users, who are always invited to introduce themselves with their first and last names, represent the opinion of individuals and not that of the CNR Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems, which cannot be held responsible for what is posted on social channels by third parties.

Rules on moderation processes

The Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems of the CNR invites everyone to an educated, relevant and respectful conversation.

On the social channels of the Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems of the CNR, everyone can intervene to express their free opinion, always following the good rules of education and respect for others.

Comments and posts that violate the conditions set out in this document will be moderated, even preventively, and will be removed promptly.

Insults, profanity, threats or attitudes that offend the dignity of persons and the decorum of the institutions, the rights of minorities and children, and the principles of freedom and equality will not be tolerated.

In particular:

- content that promotes, encourages, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of sex, race, language, religion, political opinion, creed, age, marital status, status in relation to public assistance, nationality, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation;

- sexual content or links to sexual content;

- solicitation of trade;

- conducting or encouraging unlawful activity;

- information that may tend to compromise security;

- content that infringes the interest of a legal property or a third party;

- comments or posts presenting sensitive data in violation of the Privacy Act.

Comments and content of the following types are also discouraged and subject to moderation:

- comments not relevant to that particular published topic (off topic);

- comments for or against political campaigns or voting directions;

- offensive language or content;

- comments and posts written to disrupt the discussion or offend those who manage and

moderates social channels;

- spam;

- repeatedly inserted interventions.

The CNR Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems reserves the right to remove any content that is deemed to be in breach of this social media policy or any applicable law.

For those who violate these conditions, or those contained in the policies of the tools used, we reserve the right to use the 'block' option to prevent further action and to report the user to the platform managers and possibly to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

The processing of users' personal data complies with the policies in use on the platforms used (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube).

Please note that sensitive data published in public comments or posts within the social channels of the Mediterranean Institute for Agricultural and Forestry Systems will be removed. Data shared by users through private messages sent directly to the Mediterranean Institute for Agricultural and Forestry Systems channels will be treated in compliance with Italian privacy laws

With regard to the accounts of the Mediterranean Institute for Agricultural and Forestry Systems active on the social platforms Facebook, Instagram and Youtube, some personal information may be acquired by the managers of the social network platforms whenever the User decides to interact with them.
