Ceriello Giovanna

PhD student at the University of Naples Federico II .
Associated with collaborative assignment at the Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems (ISAFOM), to collaborate in the research activity “Study of the relationship between the phenological stages of hazelnut growth and its susceptibility to damage from Halyomorpha halays”.
The duration of the association runs from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2026
From 2023 I am the holder of a PhD in Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Systems and Food Security (XXXIX cycle) at the University of Naples Federico II, Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with the CNR-ISAFOM (Institute for Mediterranean Agricultural and Forestry Systems, Portici site). My research activity is focused on the analysis and optimisation of agri-voltaic systems applied to viticulture, with the aim of efficiently integrating renewable energy production with crop sustainability and productivity.
In particular, I conduct experimental activities to assess the effects of photovoltaic modules on microclimatic, physiological and production parameters of vines, through the use of environmental monitoring systems and advanced experimental methodologies. I am currently involved in data processing and analysis using statistical software and programming tools, including SPSS and Python, aimed at interpreting results and developing application models.
As part of my PhD, I did a 6-month international research period at Sun'Agri (Montpellier, France), leading company in the agri-voltaic sector, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and actively participating in the management of experimental trials and data collection in agri-voltaic vineyards. I have also participated in national and international scientific congresses, presenting oral contributions and contributing to the valorisation and sharing of research results.
