Campagna di campionamento per il progetto europeo Benchmarks sullo stato di salute del suolo

On the morning of 16 April, the Italian Isafom and CRISP-UNINA team of the European Benchmarks project on the state of soil health carried out an important multidisciplinary soil sampling campaign at the Federico II Experimental Farm in Castel Volturno: of a biological nature (collection of macro-fauna such as earthworms, mesofauna such as ants, and analysis of the content and type of microbes), of a physical-hydrological nature (ps. bulk density), of a chemical nature (pH, organic matter) and aimed at studying microplastic pollution.

On the morning of April 16, the Italian team ISAFOM-CNR and CRISP-UNINA of the European project "Benchmarks", conducted an important multidisciplinary soil sampling campaign at the Experimental Farm of the UNINA Department of Agricultural Sciences located in Castel Volturno (Campania region, southern Italy). This campaign included biological aspects (collection of macrofauna such as earthworms, mesofauna such as ants, and analysis of microbiological content and types), physical-hydrological aspects (e.g., measurement of soil bulk density at several depths), chemical aspects (e.g., soil pH and organic matter content ), and focused also on studying possible soil microplastic pollution.
