Use the IP address only if<br \/>\nthe host name is not resolved correctly.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>4\ufe0f\u20e3 Door settings<\/h2>\n<ol start=\"12\">\n<li>At the screen <strong>Port Settings<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Type<\/strong>Customised<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Settings...<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Verify:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Protocol<\/strong>RAW<\/li>\n<li><strong>Door number<\/strong>: 9100<\/li>\n<li>\u2705 <strong>SNMP status activated<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Community name<\/strong>: <code>isafom<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Confirm with <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>5\ufe0f\u20e3 Kyocera driver installation<\/h2>\n<ol start=\"16\">\n<li>When asked for the driver, click <strong>Driver disk...<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select the folder where the drivers were extracted<\/li>\n<li>Open the file <code>.inf<\/code>, for example <code>OEMSETUP.INF<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Kyocera TASKalfa 3554ci KX<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>6\ufe0f\u20e3 Installation finalisation<\/h2>\n<ol start=\"21\">\n<li><strong>Printer name<\/strong>leave the one proposed<\/li>\n<li><strong>Do not share this printer<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Optional<\/strong>: set as default printer<\/li>\n<li><strong>DO NOT print the test page<\/strong>\n<p><em>The print test should only be performed after the Account ID has been set up.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>End<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2705 The printer is now installed.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>7\ufe0f\u20e3 Verify peripheral options<\/h2>\n<p>After installing the driver, it is advisable to check that the printer options<br \/>\nare correctly recognised by the driver.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bluetooth and devices<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Printers and scanners<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Kyocera TASKalfa 3554ci KX<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Printer properties<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Open the tab <strong>Device Settings<\/strong>\n<p><em>In some versions it may be called \u201cDevice Settings\u201d or \u201cDevice Settings\u201d.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Automatically configure...<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Check that drawers, memory and accessories are detected correctly<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f If the automatic configuration does not detect accessories correctly,<br \/>\ncheck that the printer is switched on, connected to the network and accessible from the PC.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>8\ufe0f\u20e3 Mandatory setting: Account ID, Job Accounting and Private Print<\/h2>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f <strong>After printer installation<\/strong>, it is necessary to configure<br \/>\nl'<strong>Account ID<\/strong> in the Kyocera driver.<\/p>\n<p>This setting is mandatory if the printer has the<br \/>\n<strong>Job Accounting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If the Account ID is not entered correctly in the driver, printing may<br \/>\nnot start or the printer may show the error<br \/>\n<em>\u201cIncorrect account ID\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This configuration must be done <strong>once only<\/strong> for each PC and includes<br \/>\ntwo steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>configuration of the\u2019<strong>Account ID<\/strong> in the driver's administrator settings;<\/li>\n<li>ID configuration in the <strong>Printing Preferences<\/strong>, in the section <strong>Work<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>A. Open printer properties<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bluetooth and devices<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Printers and scanners<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Kyocera TASKalfa 3554ci KX<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Printer properties<\/strong>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f <em>NOT \u201cPrint Preferences\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>B. Access the driver's administrator settings<\/h3>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Open the tab <strong>Device Settings<\/strong>\n<p><em>In some versions it may be called \u201cDevice Settings\u201d or \u201cDevice Settings\u201d.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Administrator...<\/strong>\n<p><em>In some versions it may be called \u201cAdministrator...\u201d.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Open the section <strong>Job Accounting<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>C. Activate Job Accounting and enter the Account ID<\/h3>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Activate the voice:\n<ul>\n<li>\u2705 <strong>Job Accounting<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Use specific account ID<\/strong>, if any<\/li>\n<li>Insert the\u2019<strong>Account ID<\/strong> provided by the administrator<\/li>\n<li>Confirm with <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2705 From now on, the driver will send print jobs using<br \/>\nl'<strong>Account ID<\/strong> configured.<\/p>\n<h3>D. Configure the ID also in the Printing Preferences<\/h3>\n<p>After configuring the Account ID in the driver's administrator settings,<br \/>\nyou must also set the same ID in the <strong>Printing Preferences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"14\">\n<li>Open <strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bluetooth and devices<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Printers and scanners<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Kyocera TASKalfa 3554ci KX<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Printer properties<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Open the tab <strong>General<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Preferences...<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Open the tab <strong>Work<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the section <strong>Work archiving (e-MPS)<\/strong>, set:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Type<\/strong>: <strong>Private press<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong>Enter the ID communicated by the administrator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the section <strong>Job Accounting<\/strong>, click on<br \/>\n<strong>Settings...<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Use specific ID<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Insert the\u2019<strong>ID communicated by the administrator<\/strong>, if required<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2705 From now on, prints will be sent as<br \/>\n<strong>private prints<\/strong> and can be released from the printer panel<br \/>\nby entering the configured password.<\/p>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f The ID entered in the field <strong>Password<\/strong> of the section<br \/>\n<strong>Private press<\/strong> is used to unlock the job directly from the printer.<\/p>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f This setting <strong>does not replace Job Accounting<\/strong>:<br \/>\nJob Accounting is used for print accounting, whereas private print<br \/>\nserves to hold the work until unlocked by password.<\/p>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f Works submitted as <strong>private press<\/strong> do not remain stored<br \/>\npermanently: they are removed after printing. They can also be removed<br \/>\nif the printer is switched off, restarted or if the job retention period expires.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>9\ufe0f\u20e3 Verify Account ID Configuration and Private Print<\/h2>\n<p>Before proceeding with the other settings, it is advisable to check that<br \/>\nthe Account ID was entered correctly in the driver.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open any document<\/li>\n<li>Send a test print<\/li>\n<li>Check that the print is accepted by the printer<\/li>\n<li>If printing has been set as <strong>private press<\/strong>,<br \/>\nretrieve the job from the printer panel by entering the ID configured as password<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the error appears <em>\u201cIncorrect account ID\u201d<\/em>, check that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>l'<strong>Account ID<\/strong> has been correctly inserted in the PC driver;<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>Job Accounting<\/strong> is active on the printer;<\/li>\n<li>l'<strong>Account ID<\/strong> is also present and enabled on the printer side;<\/li>\n<li>at <strong>Printing Preferences<\/strong> is selected <strong>Use specific ID<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the printout is not released as a private printout, check that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>at <strong>Work archiving (e-MPS)<\/strong> is selected <strong>Private press<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in the field <strong>Password<\/strong> the correct ID has been entered;<\/li>\n<li>work is present in the <strong>Job Box<\/strong> of the printer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83d\udd1f Retrieving private printing from the printer<\/h2>\n<p>If the <strong>Private press<\/strong>, the document is not printed<br \/>\nimmediately, but remains pending on the printer.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From the printer panel, open <strong>Job Box<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select the document to be printed<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Print<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Insert the <strong>password<\/strong> configured in the driver<\/li>\n<li>Confirm with <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Specify the number of copies, if required<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Start printing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2705 The document will only be printed after the correct password has been entered.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>11\ufe0f\u20e3 Recommended setting: user name displayed on the printer<\/h2>\n<p>To make print jobs sent to the printer recognisable, it is advisable to<br \/>\nset in the Kyocera driver the <strong>user name<\/strong> using the PC.<\/p>\n<p>This setting allows the name of the person to be displayed on the printer<br \/>\nwho sent the printout, instead of just the name of the PC.<\/p>\n<p>This should be done <strong>once only<\/strong> for each PC.<\/p>\n<h3>A. Open printer properties<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bluetooth and devices<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Printers and scanners<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Kyocera TASKalfa 3554ci KX<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Printer properties<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>B. Open User Settings<\/h3>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Open the tab <strong>Device Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>User...<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>C. Enter your user name<\/h3>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>In the field <strong>User name<\/strong> enter the first and last name of the PC user<\/li>\n<li>In the field <strong>Department<\/strong>, if useful, enter the department or office to which it belongs<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2705 From now on, print jobs sent from the PC will be more easily<br \/>\nrecognisable on the printer.<\/p>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f This setting <strong>does not replace the Account ID<\/strong>only serves to<br \/>\nbetter identify the user sending the printout.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>12\ufe0f\u20e3 Mandatory setting: black and white printing from driver<\/h2>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f <strong>If not set by the driver<\/strong>, the prints start<br \/>\n<strong>colour by default<\/strong>, even when not necessary.<\/p>\n<p>This should be done <strong>once only<\/strong> for each PC.<\/p>\n<h3>A. Set Black and White as default<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bluetooth and devices<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Printers and scanners<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Kyocera TASKalfa 3554ci KX<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Printing Preferences<\/strong>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f <em>NOT \u201cPrinter properties\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>B. Colour settings<\/h3>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Open the tab <strong>Base<\/strong>\n<p><em>In some versions it may be called \u201cQuality\u201d or \u201cBasic Settings\u201d.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>Colour<\/strong> select:\n<ul>\n<li>\u2705 <strong>Black and white<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Verify that <strong>Automatic colour<\/strong> o <strong>Colour<\/strong><br \/>\nare NOT selected<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>C.
