The meeting opened with a welcome from the Directors of the hosting CNR Institutes, followed by scientific presentations addressing nitrogen management, nature-based inputs, and sustainable agronomic practices. Key presentations included:<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Patrizia Spigno<\/strong> (ARCA Farm, Italy) on the conservation and enhancement of plant agrobiodiversity in Campania.<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Dr Francisco Garc\u00eda S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> (CEBAS-CSIC, Spain) on the use of plants and botanical extracts to reduce nitrification rates in agricultural soils.<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Dra. Souad El Hajjaji<\/strong> (Mohamed V University, Morocco) presenting pilot evaluations of NBI plants and extracts in pepper production.<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Dra. Iman Ayadi, Dra Fatma Wassar and Dra Ines Toumi<\/strong> (ISSTEG, Tunisia) reporting agronomic results in melons under different nitrogen fertilisation strategies and intercropping systems.<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Dr. Anna Tedeschi<\/strong> (CNR, Italy) presenting preliminary agronomic results from CNR pepper experiments.<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Erika Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (CEBAS-CSIC, Spain) presenting results from broccoli and watermelon trials under reduced nitrogen inputs.<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Prof. Jos\u00e9 Manuel Brotons<\/strong> (Universidad Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez de Elche, Spain) on cost analysis methodologies.<br \/>\n\u2013 <strong>Pedro Hern\u00e1ndez and David Jorquera<\/strong> (Think Tank Technology, Spain) on the development of the TELENITRO Decision Support System (DSS).<\/p>\n<p>On 12 December, participants visited the ARCA experimental fields in Acerra, where ongoing trials related to sustainable fertilisation and crop management were presented.
